Joel Lawler

Sports Therapist / Personal Trainer

I started off as a personal trainer back in 2016. I knew that helping people was my calling in life. Soon, I started to gravitate to helping people who were injured. Anything from muscle strains, to post-op knee or hip replacements, and found this area of helping others more rewarding. I worked closely with physiotherapists and osteopaths giving their clients the ‘gym’ side of their rehab.

Eventually, I became a sports therapist in 2020 and have worked closely with excellent physiotherapists and osteopaths - learning from them and broadening my skills with CPD courses with respected industry leaders. These have covered mobilisations, spinal manipulations and more.

With my personal training background, blended with my knowledge of treating, I can offer a comprehensive mode of treatment, including sports massage, diagnosing muscular conditions, using osteopathic manipulative techniques and exercise prescription.

You don’t have to be injured to benefit from this.

In September 2022 I start my 4 year degree in Osteopathy in London to further improve my skills, knowledge and passion.

I will still be offering my services during the course.

    Manage pain and stress through sports massage. Beneficial for reducing muscle strain, headaches, muscle soreness, reducing anxiety and boosting blood circulation.

    Emergency Treatment

    If you are in real need of seeing a practitioner and cannot wait for an appointment at a clinic, an emergency visit is available to gain peace of mind with assessments, and treatment if necessary with advice on what is best to go forward

  • Posture Correction

    Posture Correction

    You don’t have to be injured to have a treatment. This 1 hour treatment focuses on improving posture, joint function and aesthetics. The goal is to look at the main areas most of us suffer with postural issues such as; forward head, rounded shoulders and pelvic tilts to name a few. This will be treated by a range of techniques appropriate to the treatment.

I have managed to reverse my pre-diabetes. I want to highly commend Joel, who has been of considerable help in getting me super fit over the past few months. He suggested a 16-hour fasting day, and after gaining approval from my GP, I have been embarking on this new regime for the past three months or so. I’ve enjoyed a reduction in weight to optimum levels, my energy has significantly increased, and also more remarkably, I am well on the way to eliminating pre-diabetes. My GP is very impressed.
